Eisele’s Nursery and Garden Center began in 1939 when Emil and Maria Eisele purchased farmland in Paramus. Starting off as a part-time venture, Emil Sr. used his background in landscape and nursery experience to grow young plants that included fruiting trees on the 8 acres. He and Maria also raised chickens and goats.

The two eldest sons, Emil Jr. and Rudy, continued the interest and worked at various other farms in the area. After high school, the two attended and graduated horticultural colleges with degrees in landscape design and nursery management. The Eisele brothers became partners and established Eisele’s Nursery and Garden Center, Inc.

Several years later, their youngest brother, Rick, joined the team as manager of the Garden Center. Rick attended Rutgers College in Horticulture. After Rick, Kevin Eisele, a third generation Eisele, joined the family business. He attended Alfred State College, graduated with a landscape design degree, and has contributed to the success of Eisele's Nursery and Garden Center as one of the top landscape designers. Michael Rosenbach, one of our other fabulous designers, has been with us for over 20 years after attending Rutgers college for Landscape Design. He has been a true asset to our company. The family's knowledge and commitment to their customers has created a thriving and profitable firm.
